During the process a distance between the substrate and the blade is set and the solution is manually applied to create a meniscus that when dragged forms the thin film.

The Blade Coater BCC-02 is a laboratory scale thin film deposition equipment that enables the deposition of thin films with excellent uniformity and a high degree of repeatability. BCC-02's small footprint makes possible its use inside glove-boxes and laboratories with limited space.
